Thunkable works almost exactly the same as App Inventor with these differences:

It can create both iOS and Android Apps
It has a live preview built in to the site however it is limited to certain functions.
The testing App that can be downloaded to your phone accesses the files directly from your web log in. You do not have to be on the same network.
It does not provide lessons or curriculum, at this point. - It does provide project examples and templates
