Meet Dee Henderson!! For six years she has dedicated her time and energy to further pursue her education at Stockton University. Hard working and smart, she has been on the Dean’s List every semester and has been a recipient of the Stockton Foundation Scholarship
twice. For three years of her undergraduate career, spent achieving a degree in Health Science, she was a student athlete. Dee also was a Resident Assistant for one year and has worked tirelessly for the University’s Office of Residential Life as a Graduate
Coordinator for two years. As a graduate student working for a degree in Occupational Therapy she is expected to graduate between December and May (due to COVID-19 delays) and for two years she has been a graduate assistant for the Occupational Therapy program.
As a future Occupational Therapist she aims to work specifically with special needs children. A well rounded individual, Dee has been engaged with a number of clubs and organizations on campus. She is extremely friendly, and constantly seeks to maintain a healthy
balance of school, work and a social life. Dee is a shining example of working for and maintaining accomplishments to achieve goals over the long run, we are proud to have her as a soon to be two time Stockton University Graduate 🙂 -RA Madison Herrera
Meet Dr. Maralyn Mason! She is currently the Executive Director of Educational Opportunity and Success Programs here at Stockton University since 2015. Maralyn worked in high education for over 20 years and has been a mentor for more than 350 students. She has taught the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) students that the EOF program was more than a five-week summer academy but an extension of family that will always be there for you! Since Dr. Mason went through a similar program as EOF but in Pennsylvania, EOP, she further understands the importance of this program.
Besides being extraordinary at her job, she has assisted students not only in the classroom or academically; she has helped with personal aspects as well. She has always lent a helping hand or went above and beyond to her students that need it. Dr.Mason has never turned her back on a student regardless if they were EOF or not. Maralyn has been a facility member that many can turn to when it gets tough. Although this is her last semester in this job position since she is retiring, she will always be remembered by the accomplishments she made and the history she left here at Stockton. From being a Merit Honoree at the 2018 Council of Black Faculty and Staff Awards Dinner to being one of the founders of TogetHER (a club for “Empowering and Mentoring Womxn of Color”). The way Dr. Mason has helped past and current students is an excellent example of what Stockton Friendly exemplifies!

Meet Allie Maskin, a current senior Social Work major who is graduating and continuing to study at Stockton University as a part of the Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program. A member of the sorority Sigma Sigma Sigma, Allie currently serves as Stockton University’s Greek Council President and has worked energetically to oversee the operations of all 28 campus approved sororities and fraternities.
She has not taken her position of influence lightly, in her time she has introduced various unique and inclusive programs for members of the community. Thanks to Allie (who is a Sexual Assault Peer Educator, Green Dot certified and an ‘Osprey Advocate’) the Greek Council instituted the fist of its kind, a monthly mental health program designed specific to those engaged in Greek Life. Allie also introduced the Council’s first Women’s Self Defense class, the event “Pie a President'' to raise funds to support veterans and created the “Alcohol Consumption and Good Samaritan Law'' training which was attended by over 300 Greeks.
Always a friendly face, Allie constantly proves to be an exampilary member of the community and we are excited to see all she accomplishes with the rest of her time at Stockton and beyond. - RA Madison Herrera
Meet Kiaraa Fulton! Kiaraa is a sophomore Health Science major with a concentration in Physical Therapy (PT) here at Stockton University. Kiaraa is an amusing, intelligent, and dedicated person. She is the Public Relations Chair for Plus Size Project and a Resident Assistant for the freshmen community.
Kiaraa attributes her time here to the people of the community of which she built. She appreciates the school, her friends, and her residents. She also enjoyed her first year as an RA. When asked about her residents she said this: “ I had amazing students live on the floor with me and I built a great relationship with all of them.” Kiaraa is a fun and energetic person with much to offer Stockton and the world beyond this campus. One piece of advice she would like to give incoming students is “It’s okay to say ‘no’. You shouldn’t feel like you have to do everything, go everywhere, or even be associated with everyone. Take this time to discover what you truly like about yourself and life and work on pursuing those things”.
After finishing her undergraduate degree, Kiaraa plans to attend PT school, hopefully at Stockton. She wants to be able to help athletes regain mobility after serious sport injuries. Another thing she wants to do after graduating is travel. She enjoys seeing new places and hopes to travel the world, see different countries, and experience new cultures.
A fun fact about Kiaraa is that she enjoys singing, cooking, and painting. Thank you for being a great leader on this campus and we are very proud of you! - RA Rayna Tweedle
Meet Chris! Chris is a junior Criminal Justice major here at Stockton University. He is hard-working, diligent, and a true team player. Chris is also very involved on campus. He is training to be the National Communications Coordinator for the Residence Hall Association (RHA), he is a Resident Assistant for upperclassmen, and he is a incoming Senior Intern at the Office of Service-Learning. Chris’ experience at Stockton has been amazing. When asked about it he said, “I love Stockton. It’s in a very calm area with amazing trails to hike and walk around”.
After obtaining his degree from Stockton, Chris plans to work with at-risk youth to help them get back on the right track. His passion for helping others is evident and his various student leadership positions highlights that. Chris is also a dependable person and is happy to help whenever he can. If he can do it, he will. One piece of advice he wants to give incoming Stockton students is “Don't overwhelm yourself your first semester and set mini goals you want to accomplish for each semester you are here”.
A fun fact about Chris is that his wardrobe is majority neon and bright colors (this is very true). Thank you for everything you do for this campus and we are so proud of you! - RA Rayna Tweedle
Meet Simone Cyrus! Simone is a sophomore Biology major with a concentration in Pre-Professional Studies here at Stockton University. Simone is a funny, caring, and honest person. She is the Co-Captain for the Stockton Cheerleading Team, she’s apart of the Teal Ribbon Project, and she is a member of TogetHer mentoring club.
When asked about her time here at Stockton, she said,” Initially my experience was a little bad because it was a different environment and new school with no friends. I was used to the city area and being close to my friends so at first it was lonely but eventually as I started to join more clubs and find the spaces where I found people like me Stockton began to grow on me”. Simone has great potential and is an amazing leader on campus. One piece of advice she would like to give incoming students is “to not be scared to do new things and change how you were before. Before college I wasn’t the type of person to talk to someone I didn’t know but now if i’m in the situation where I’m alone and I see someone else who is alone, I don’t have a problem going to introduce myself. I would also say make connections with professors/faculty members. When you need recommendation letters or reference letters, these will be the people you have to turn to”.
Simone’s favorite memory is meeting her roommates. She says that without her roommates she would’ve had a much different experience at Stockton and with knowing them for less than a year she feels like she could go to them for anything.
After graduating with her degree, Simone plans to attend dental school. A fun fact about her is that she loves llamas. Thank you for being you, Simone, and keep being great! -- RA Rayna Tweedle
