Matthew Frontz is the Director of Bands at Stockdale ISD in Stockdale, Texas. Mr. Frontz began his first year of teaching at Stockdale in 2023. Native to San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Frontz graduated Summa Cum Laude with Special Distinction from the University of Oklahoma. His undergraduate studies included a Bachelor of Music Education degree and Psychology minor.

Mr. Frontz serves as Bassoon Faculty at the Southwest Oklahoma State University annual Summer Band Camp. The event is the state of Oklahoma's largest and longest running music camps for band, choir, and orchestra students. Mr. Frontz provided an interactive instructional course on band leadership as well as, saxophone and double reed instruction for the camps numerous performing bands.

Mr. Frontz's professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Association for Texas Small School Bands, International Double Reed Society,  and the National Association for Music Education. Mr. Frontz performs with the Heart of Texas Concert Band in San Antonio, Texas as one of seven bassoon members.
