General chemistry concepts, such as atomic theory, periodic table trends, bonding, the mole, stoichiometry, solutions, acids-bases, equilibrium, and nuclear chemistry. There will be a focus on labs throughout the year to provide students with a hands on student led learning experience. An emphasis will be placed throughout the year to provide students with real world examples to provide context to the concepts that are covered in the classroom. As the year progresses the labs in this class will begin to transition to a focus on student led instruction.
