First Grade

I am honored to spend my days with your children. It is amazing to watch the joy and excitement they express as they learn new things and discover that they are problem solvers. I consider it a great blessing to be a part of their educational journey. First Grade is a big transition year where children are given more responsibility and have higher learning expectations. The First Grade team will be here to guide and nurture them through the year.

This is my fourth year at St. Thomas More, and I am thrilled to be here! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and am certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th Grade and ESL in the State of Texas. My husband, David, and I moved here in July, 2017 (right before Hurricane Harvey!) from Austin, Texas, where I taught 1st Grade at St. Gabriel's Catholic School. We have three children, and the youngest is in her senior year at The University of Arkansas (Woo Pigs!). We are adjusting to our empty nest and are enjoying Houston!
