Greeting Parents!
The 7th Grade Stream Day held on February 19, 2024, was dedicated to exploring the wonders of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), leaving an indelible mark on our students' minds. Stream Day was more than just a series of challenges; it was an opportunity for our students to expand their horizons, develop new skills, and ignite a lifelong passion for learning. The smiles, laughter, and enthusiastic discussions that echoed through the classrooms showcased the success of an event dedicated to fostering curiosity and innovation.
As we reflect on the remarkable experiences of 7th Grade Stream Day, we extend our gratitude to the dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students, who made this event a huge success.
Challenges:
How the Lungs and Diaphragm Work:
Students delved into the intricate workings of the respiratory system, discovering the fascinating dance between the lungs and diaphragm. The challenge not only brought biology to life but also showcased the power of teamwork and critical thinking.
Challenge: Design a working model of the human lungs and diaphragm. Students were required to explain the parts of the model as they demonstrate how it works.
Sphero Robot Course Challenge:
In the world of technology, our young innovators navigated the complexities of a Sphero robot course. The challenge encouraged problem-solving, coding skills, and an understanding of robotics in a hands-on and engaging manner.
(Religion) Lenten Riddle Challenge:
Beyond the realms of STEAM, our students embraced the Lenten spirit with a special riddle challenge. This activity intertwined fun with reflection, fostering a sense of community and cultural awareness among our students.
Riddle
In forty days, a season begins,
A time of reflection, a season that wins.
It's not about bunnies or eggs so sweet,
But a time of self-giving, a sacred feat.
What am I, this season so divine?
A journey of hearts, a spiritual sign.
Fasting and praying, a sacrifice true,
To grow in compassion, to start anew.
In this time of Lent, a mission to share,
Not just empty words, but a gesture rare.
Think of others before you indulge,
A lesson in empathy, a virtue bulge.
Now, young minds, a task for you,
Create Easter baskets, a generous view.
Fill them with love, kindness, and care,
For those in need, with burdens to bear.
To the Food Pantry, your gifts deliver,
A symbol of hope that will last forever.
Lent is not just about what you abstain, But the joy of giving, breaking each chain.
What is your mission? _________________________________________
