I was born and raised in Mobile, AL and moved to Houston in 2010 where quickly fell in love with two-stepping and St. Thomas More! Working in Catholic Education is not just a job, but my calling. I'm so excited to be teaching 4th & 5th grade this year in addition to serving as the Director of Special Initiatives. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, and being with my friends and family.

Education: Spring Hill College (Elementary Education, History Minor), University of St. Thomas (Educational Leadership), St. Louis University (Catholic Educational Leadership, Ed.D - in progress)

Mrs. CHRISTINA cHANCOCO-Black, MD

I was born in Quezon City, Philippines and moved to Houston, TX in 1978. My husband Greg is a native Texan and our three children are second generation Tigers, as I am also a graduate of St. Thomas More! Go Tigers! After earning my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, I chose a rewarding career in clinical cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Dept. of Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. I had the opportunity to coordinate clinical trials and treatment and the privilege to work alongside a team of experts where much of our work has since been published. I then heard a calling to education and I am excited to be teaching 5th grade Math and Science this year at STM. This is my 4th year in education. When I have free time, I enjoy eating chocolate, driving my kids to all their activities, volunteering, spending time with family and friends, eating out, and taking pictures of my kids!

Education: University of Texas - San Antonio (BA Psychology), University of the East - RMMMC (Doctor of Medicine)

Mrs. maggie Brill

I was born right here in Houston and raised just down the road in Sugar Land. I attended St. Laurence Catholic School for K-8 and St. Agnes for my freshman year of high school. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Human Movement from LSU and I am so excited to be able to say "Geaux Tigers" again! I worked for Houston Methodist for six months as a Physical Therapy tech but soon felt my calling to education. I completed my first year of teaching at Welch Middle School as a 7th grade science teacher. I got married in August to a family rich in STM alums and I am very excited to be here teaching 4th and 5th grade ELA and 4th grade Science in the Catholic environment I grew up in as well! In my free time, I work with an animal rescue, K-9 Angels Rescue Houston; I foster dogs until they are adopted and help with the adoption process on the weekends. Animals, Dr. Pepper, and sweets are my weaknesses!
