Marine Biology Summer Laboratory
One Week Camp
Join us for one week of Mariner Marine Biology Laboratory Camp for students entering grades 6 through 9
in the Marine Laboratory of the Mariner Ocean Research Institute
St. Monica Catholic High School, Santa Monica, California 90403
June 20-24, 2022. 9. am to 2:30 pm. The fee is $395.
For students who want to learn about marine biology and oceanography and deepen their laboratory and field study skills.
Each day has a marine biology theme that is infused with Science. Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and fun!
What are some things we will do?
Survey marine life and learn about the environment in which they live
Sharpen your microscopy skills to observe and photograph phytoplankton and zooplankton
Learn gyotaku
Keep a digital journal of observations
Perform water chemistry tests
Perform a dissection or two if you like
Go tide pooling and observe the beauty of rocky intertidal life
