Google representatives from offices across the globe will be joining. Google has people from Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, and Mountain View, CA (USA) joining us on the day! Check out the agenda below to see what they'll be presenting!

Exciting Announcement...
#TechInAction is so excited to announce that we will have some REAL GOOGLERS at the event. That's right. Google (Melbourne Office) will be sending some representatives to support #TechInAction. Watch this space to see how they will be involved on the day!
Chris is passionate about providing professional learning which models great pedagogy, is personalised to the people and the context, is rich in technology and deep in thinking. After 15 years in many different roles as an award winning languages teacher, a senior leader in one of the UK’s most innovative schools, Director of the Emerging Sciences Victoria and his role as a Google Certified Innovator and member of the Google for Education International Advisory Board, Chris took on the challenge of starting up his own consultancy; Unstuck Learning Design.
Chris has expertise in design thinking, digital technology and learning spaces (both physical and virtual), learner centred pedagogy and learning models, strategies to enhance higher order thinking, learner efficacy and engagement, formative assessment strategies and learning analytics, leadership of learning organisations and language learning pedagogy.
Kelly Moore is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator, Seesaw Ambassador and Hapara Certified Educator. She has a passion for learning and teaching with Digital Technology and values the importance of collaborating with others in a variety of ways using online tools. As a result of her enthusiasm and passion in the area of Digital Technology Kelly has started consulting amongst schools in Victoria and NSW. The focus for her consultancy has been to build teacher capacity to embed technology in their teaching practices using a whole school approach.
Kelly has worked in education and leadership in Teaching and Learning for 13 years. She has also worked for the ICON project in the Catholic Education Office in the last few years. She has successfully used her expertise to support and implement technology in transformative ways during her career. This has included PBL, Chromebooks, Going Google, Coding and Creative Thinking. Kelly has been the Melbourne GEG Leader and has developed her own blog, Code 4 Kids to support teachers in their Digital Technology learning.
Agenda Break Down:
8:30am- 8:50am: registration in school hall - collect name tag and decorate!
9:00am- 10:15am: Keynote Speakers
Each workshop runs for approximately 40 minutes. Take your pick! If you have more than one representative from your school, we suggest that you separate and try to learn as much as possible:) Please ensure you know where you want to go so that we can begin all workshops on time. You will have the opportunity to attend 4 workshops throughout the day. Enjoy!
10:15- 11:00am: Workshops Round 1
11:00am -11:50am: LUNCH will be served in the school hall. (This is the normal lunchtime/break time for STM so when you hear the first bell, please come to the hall. Any students attending may play outside with the STM students).
11:50am- 12:35pm: Workshops Round 2
12:35pm- 1:15pm: Workshops Round 3
1:15pm- 1:50pm: Workshops Round 4
1:50pm -2:30pm: AFTERNOON TEA will be served in the school hall. (This is the normal lunchtime/break time for STM so when you hear the first bell, please come to the hall. Any students attending may play outside with the STM students).
2:30pm- 3:00pm: APPS in Action Session. Children and Staff from STM will have 2 minutes to show off their favourite Google App or Extension.
3:00-3:20pm: end of day and feedback
All APPS, extensions, websites and presentations will be shared with you at the end of the day:)
