St. Thomas More Collegiate is proud to offer Elementary Choir for the 2024-2025 school year!

STMC Elementary Choir

Who can participate? 

Students in grades 4 - 7 that also sing in their school choir are welcome to join. Since most of the Elementary Schools in the area already have choirs, the STMC Elementary Choir is meant to supplement the great teaching that is already happening and thus, students must ALSO be in their school choir to be eligible. Exceptions will be made for students on a case by case basis, please message Mr. Lui regarding this.

What will we do?  

§  Students will be introduced to basic music skills, knowledge, and theory, and learn to sing with healthy vocal technique appropriate for ensemble and solo singing.

§  The STMC Elementary Choir is an inclusive, fun, safe, and supportive team environment!

When and Where will we meet? 

Rehearsals will take place at St. Thomas More Collegiate (7450 12th Ave., Burnaby) on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM from September 11 to April 15. Students will participate in various concerts and workshops throughout the year.

Fees

The total cost of the program is $350. 

§ $100 due June 30 (PAID ON KARELO)

§ $250 due September 11

Sign up for a Karelo account, then under "Events," select "Elementary Choir Deposit." This deposit MUST be paid by June 30 to hold your spot in the choir. An email will be sent in September with a payment link for the remaining $250.

Registration Deadline: June 30.

*If multiple students from one family are involved in the group, we can offer a discount. The fee for

the first student is $350 with each subsequent sibling fee being $275.
