Day 1: 'Ilima started out the coding while Audrey and Ruby collected materials for the boat and started cutting out the structure.
Day 2: During class today Ruby worked on the blueprint for the boat and started building it with Audrey and 'Ilima worked on the coding for the remote control. Our boat currently needs to be waterproofed and we need to attach the net, pontoons, and code our remote control.
Day 3: Today Audrey and Ruby continued working on building the boat and 'Ilima worked on the coding. The structure of the boat is almost done but it still needs to be waterproofed, and we need to attach the net, pontoons, and finish coding our remote control.
Day 4: Audrey was absent today but Ruby and 'Ilima continued to work. 'Ilima continued to work on the coding and Ruby attached the water bottle pontoons and wrapped the whole boat in duct tape to waterproof it. After school Ruby brought the boat home and tested it in her pool.
Day 5: Today during class Audrey worked on the essay while ‘Ilima worked on coding. Ruby did some final touches on the waterproofing of the boat. We still need to adhere the technology and work on the writing.
Day 6: Today Audrey worked on TinkerCad to find the coding for our propellers and figure out the sizes of our motors. Ruby worked on the essay and website while 'Ilima coded.
Day 7: Today Ruby did reserch and worked on the website, and 'Ilima worked on coding and programming. Audrey worked on tinkercad and finished the propeller, she needs to make sure it fits on the motor so she will do that next class.
Day 8: 'Ilima worked on and started attaching the technology while Ruby worked on the website. Audrey helped out with a bit of both.
Day 9: Today Audrey and 'Ilima attached the techonology and tested out their coding. Ruby took down information for the website, and we all worked on our essay.
Day 10: Today we took our boat down to the pool and tested it out! The motors worked well but sadly our rudder was flimsy and got waterlogged. The technology in the belly of the boat weighed it down and made it tricky to capture the ping-pong balls and keep them in our basket.
