Coral Degradation 

Coral degradation. Our team wanted to focus on this issue and build our product, The Sea Dome™.  For those who don't know what coral degradation is, it's the loss of coral or death of coral in a reef, and one of the biggest cause of coral degradation is coral diseases. Coral diseases are a big problem considering the fact that they spread 300 feet per day, quickly engulfing reefs and ecosystems and destroying our beautiful reefs. That's where our product comes in.  The Sea Dome™ is designed to quarantine the diseased patches of coral stopping the spread and while the coral is in quarantine, it is easy to administer proper treatment. The reason this is such a big problem is because of the speed of these coral diseases spreading and destroying the reef. Black band disease, white band disease, yellow band disease, etc. these are some examples of diseases causing this problem. All of these diseases are spreading around 350 ft per day. We are also worried that with these diseases spreading they will evolve creating new diseases that could be even worse and become resistant to treatment. with our goal to hopefully stop this fome happening.
