My partner and I created an unmanned submersible robot that can withstand conditions in the deep sea.
Our robot will use sonar placed in its bottom sections to take readings of its surroundings for us to collect and record above the surface.
Our robot also comes equipped with an electromagnetic field detector, which can detect electrical signals given off by life without a visual.
The goal of our robot is to create a safe means of exploring Earth's largest habitat, the deep sea and to allow us to see the effects of climate change in this environment and ecosystem that covers 90% of Earth's livable area.
When conditions are brighter, our robot will use a camera to take recordings of its surroundings so we can observe marine life and marine structures.
Our robot will be made out of pressure resistant alloys, like titanium, and steel, as well as artificial foam, all of which are able to withstand extreme pressure.
