Day 1: 4/25/23

This marked the beginning of The Sub Above. William started on creating our ballast tank out of the syringe. There were some complications with the ballast tank, so we had redesign it. Bobby started creating code for the submarine. Luca started to learn how we could use lego gears for the design and Holden outlined the blueprint.

Day 2: 5/2/23

This day we finished up some things we had started. William finished the ballast tank and tested it, and Bobby finished up the code. Luca gained more knowledge on Lego gears.

Day 3: 5/4/23

Today, Luca and William created a new blueprint. This was essential because we changed our design quite a bit since our first idea. Holden and Bobby wired up one of the arduino and tested it, which showed that there was some complications.

Day 4: 5/8/23

On this day, William solderded our custom circut board. This board was customly built for our project and housed the recivever sidc of the submarine instead of using a breadboard.

Day 5: 5/11/23

On this day, William, Holden, and Luca did some work in PIRL. Luca and Holden refurbished the design for the net. William finished soldering the circutboard.

Day 6: 5/15/23

Today we were working in PIRL Terrace. Holden laser-cut the tops for the submarine.Bobby designed the propellers for the motors. William wired and soldered the controller for the sub. Luca went on tinkercad and designed lids for our tube. Luca also helped out with the breadboard circuiting of the controller.

Day 7: 5/17/23

We were getting quite close to the end of our technical issues. William worked on wiring the transmitter/control side of the submarine. This required complex soldering that was very hard to get down.

Day 8: 5/18/23

William worked on the code for the arduinos. He troubleshooted the problems in the code with AI. Holden and Luca sanded down the caps so that they would be able to fit.

Day 9: 5/23/23

This was the final strech of our project. William continued working on coding, and the whole group started to assemble the submarine. Holden nailed down the design for the propellers and helped Bobby and Luca start the presentation board.

Day 10: 5/25/23

This was our final day to work in class. We had to get much work done to finish in time. William and Luca assembled the submarine together while Bobby and Holden completed the presentation board. We did not fully complete the sub in class, so we got together on the weekend and finished our project.
