Grading Information

Late assignments will be lowered one letter grade for every day they are late. Weights for categories in each subject are:

English:  Tests/Quizzes--50%, Homework/Classwork--50%

Math: Tests--50%, Quizzes-10%, Homework/Classwork--40%

Reading/Literature:  Tests/Projects--50%, Quizzes-30%, Homework/Classwork--20%

Social Studies: Tests/Projects--50%, Quizzes-30%, Homework--20%

Spelling: Tests--50%, Homework/Classwork--50%

Science: Journals--40%, Tests--30%, Quizzes--20%, Homework/Classwork--10%

Grading Scale

Grading System:

A+  = 100%       A =  95-99%     A- = 94%

B+  = 93%          B = 87-92%       B- = 86%

C+ = 85%           C = 77-84%       C- =76%

D+ = 75%           D = 69-74%       D- = 68%
