The Mid-South Coliseum
The Mid-South Coliseum is an indoor arena at 996 Early Maxwell Blvd, in Memphis, Tennessee. Architect Robert Lee Hall designed the building with a capacity of just over 10,000. It opened in 1964 and became known as "The Entertainment Capitol of the Mid-South" due to its hosting of significant events including concerts, sports games, and professional wrestling. The surrounding grounds were known as the Fair Grounds annually hosting the Mid-South Fair. By the early 2000s, the focus of the area shifted to sporting and wellness activities. The building closed in 2006.

Memphis Rogues NASL indoor hockey team played 1979-80 season there
In the 1970s it was home to American Basketball Association’s Memphis Pros team & hosted 1971 Western Division Semifinals
It was also home to Memphis Tigers basketball until the Pyramid opened in 1991. Prior to that time, 5 Metro Conference men’s basketball tournaments were played in the Coliseum.
