Rules and Signposting

At the start of the year we recapped our Year 4 PSHE topics of Relationships, Health and Safety, before introducing some of the topics that we will cover in Year 5.

We began to work together as a class to design some rules for our class and discussed what acceptable and unacceptable behaviour looks like. These are the rules that D JWh 5 have created:

Respecting Myself

As a class we discussed how showing respect in school is important, but that it is also important to show respect to ourselves. We created 4 different ways of being able to look after ourselves and how ourselves respect:

1. Positive self-talk

2. Prioritising self-care

3. Asserting boundaries

4. Recognising our own achievements and strengths.

The  children created a visual shield to represent the ways that they show respect to themselves.
