Year 1 - Digital painting

Year 1 have used the appropriate software to create digital art. They experimented with creating art both off and on a computer and decided which one they preferred and why. 

Year 2 - Digital photography

Year 2 have been experimenting with capturing photographs using different devices. Before completing their task however, they thought about what is appropriate and inappropriate when taking photos, which links to our online safety lessons. 

Year 2 - Programming

Year 2 have been using their reasoning skills and making predictions to create and debug programmes on a physical item.

Year 3 - Unit 2 - Stop-frame animation

Year 3 have been using an app on the iPads to create a stop-frame animation. As they began their learning, they experimented with animating their names. Our next steps were to evaluate our final creations and learn from our mistakes. We then created a stop-frame animation linking to anti-bullying week. 

Year 3 - Desktop publishing

Year 3 have created posters advertising the charity Barnados which links to their topic on the Victorians. They have used images and texts to create informative posters that attract readers in different ways, making it suitable to be read by a wider audience. 

Year 3 - Programming 

Year 4 - Photo editing

Year 4 have been experimenting with photo editing. They have used different tools to enlarge, reduce, rotate, crop and change the colour of different photos. They will finish their topic by editing a photo and comparing their original image to their edited one. 

Year 5 - Vector drawings

Year 5 children have created digital images by using layers and groups of objects to improve the overall impact. 

Year 6 - Unit 2 - Web page creation

Year 6 have used Google Sites to create their own webpage, just like this one! They considered copyright and thought about what they are legally allowed to include. They researched facts, added images and thought about what would attract an audience. Some children even went home and created their own items, took photos of them and added these to their websites!
