Patricia Cornejo

Patricia is a second-year undergraduate researcher under Dr. Chu. She is an aspiring Environmental Engineer interested in exploring the disciplines of sustainable building and clean energy. Combining her love for hands-on learning and passion for combating climate change, She is currently studying under the Engineering 3+2 program, where she is working towards an Environmental Science degree at Mills College and a Civil Engineering degree at UC Berkeley. Dr. Chu’s research particularly interests Patricia, as it is a unique opportunity to contribute to discoveries in her own field of study, as well as explore other fascinating branches of science.

Over the summer, Patricia will be taking courses at a local community college. Along with her classes and research goals, she is also a math tutor at local Oakland high schools. In her free time, Patricia loves to binge watch old shows while crocheting or read fantasy novels, but she is always open to new recommendations to add to her never-ending list of books to read!

Patricia is currently an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley.
