Leo Romo

Leo Romo is a second-year student enrolled in the dual-degree engineering program at SMC and plans on pursuing chemical engineering. He is interested in the sustainable possibilities of chemistry and gaining lab experience throughout his undergraduate years. Hence, his interest in Dr. Chu's research comes from the opportunity to contribute to discoveries within the field and expand his practical knowledge.

Outside of the lab, Leo is a student leader in the Residence Hall Association (RHA) for SMC, does fieldwork with Dr. Baldridge of SMC, and tutors high school students from the local high school in Moraga. He also enjoys staying active with friends through sports, travel, and enjoying good food. During the summer, Leo will be continuing his assistance in research for a NASA grant that hopes to contribute to the Artemis Program in the near future.
