John is a fourth-year Biochemistry major who plans on entering a toxicology Ph.D. program following graduation from Saint Mary’s. After obtaining a Ph.D. he would like to work with the federal or county government in a drug prosecution lab. He is intrigued by the development of remediation techniques to deal with ecological issues. With previous analytical chemistry experience in the sport’s anti-doping field, he hopes to further expand upon his knowledge of analytical techniques as well as develop skills associated with organic synthesis. During the summer he will be looking to sharpen different skills that will be necessary to take on a Ph.D. program and even be necessary for industry work.

Outside of the lab John is part of the Saint Mary’s College Rugby program and was a part of the 2024 national championship team. He also enjoys working on classic cars, hiking, fishing, and almost anything that gets him out of the house.
