Any student interested in research can reach out to Dr. Chu to discuss opportunities. Spring semester research (for course credit) is particularly encouraged because it gives you an idea of whether or not summer research opportunities (paid) are a good fit for your career goals and aspirations.
Students that work with Dr. Chu in the 2024 - 2025 academic year will have an opportunity to extend their position into the summer as a 10-week paid researcher (stipend + housing). This opportunity does not require a formal application and is paid for by the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund.
