To help keep your brain busy on Snow Days, please choose 3 or more of the following activities:
· Read a book to a stuffed animal, a sibling, or another family member.
· Read a book and draw/write about your favorite part of the story.
· Read a book and draw/write about the Beginning, Middle, and End of the story.
· Read a book and write a new ending to the story.
· Read a book. Create a Story Map telling about the Characters, Setting, Problem, and Solution.
· Review your heart words.
· Write a letter to your teacher. Tell her about your snow day adventures.
· Write a letter or make a card for a family member or friend who lives far away.
· Count to 100. (Count by 1, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s)
· Roll two dice and add the numbers together. Say or write the facts/related facts.
· Help a family member cook. Read the recipe and help with the measuring.
· Create a pretend store. Put price tags on objects around your home. Count money to “buy” the objects.
· Play a card game or board game with your family or friends.
· Watch a movie or television show with your family. Talk about your favorite part or favorite characters.
· Help with a chore around the house or help shovel outside.
· Perform an act of kindness.
· Pray with your family. (Perhaps say a decade of the rosary together)
· Practice your reading and math skills on any of the following websites:
