This week in KB we'll be learning about the First Thanksgiving. The children will learn that long ago, the Pilgrims came to America and received help from the native Americans to grow food and live in their new environment. Together, they celebrated a harvest feast to share food and friendship. Our focus in class this month has been helping, kindness, sharing, and gratitude.
We are also talking each day about the many things we are thankful for- family, friends, and the little things that make us happy each day. I encourage you to continue these conversations at home by asking your child what they are thankful for and sharing your own examples. These simple moments help young children build empathy and gratitude.
