Kindergarten at a Glance-Weekly Information

  Week of November 10, 2025

This week in KB, the children will be learning about veterans and the importance of Thanksgiving.  We will discuss how veterans are special people who have served our country and helped keep us safe. Through stories, songs, and simple classroom discussions, children will explore what it means to be thankful and to show kindness and respect for others.  We will also connect these lessons to Thanksgiving by focusing on gratitude- being grateful for our families, friends, and community helpers like veterans.  Our activities will include creating thank-you cards for local veterans and crafting items that celebrate the spirit of giving and appreciation.

Wednesday is Gym day.

Library books are due back at school by Friday.

Friday is Mystery Show n’Tell for letters Cc and Pp  Please help your child select an object that begins with one of these letters and prepare three clues to describe it. Children should be able to recite the clues independently without any help from the teachers. Remember to place the object in a non-transparent bag to keep the mystery alive!

Please note.. If your child is attending Enrichment classes or Theatre, please update the pickup patrol.

Please continue to practice your child’s phonics cards and red sight words each night.

Please remember to add the weekly decodable readers to your pouch and have your child select a story or two to read to you each night.
