Meet the Teacher

Hello!  I am so excited to be teaching First grade again this year at St. Mary Magdalen.  I attended Penn State University and graduated with a degree in Telecommunications and American Studies, and Holy Family University, where I graduated with a Master of Education with an Elementary concentration. This is my 14th year working in education and my 9th year teaching First grade!

My husband, Mike, and I live in Springfield with our 3 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 hermit crabs. Riley is 16 and she is entering 11th grade.  Ri is a school and club field hockey goalie, and is involved in a ton of academic and social clubs at school.  Georgie is 13 and he is entering 7th grade.   G is a lacrosse goalie for our Rec team and a club team, and has just started golfing.  Charlotte is 10 and is entering 4th grade.  Char is a lacrosse player for our rec team, and plays club and rec field hockey as a goalie.  Phew, I told you they were busy!  Our 2 rescue dogs, Rosie and Sammy, keep us busy.  They enjoy playing, chasing each other, and stealing the whole bed.  Sammy's favorite things to eat are cardboard boxes and socks, and Rosie is terrified of mostly everything (especially cardboard boxes, balloons, and shadows).  When we aren't at a sporting event, we love to visit my parents in the mountains.   Spending time as a family is a top priority in our house!
