“OH what Fun it is”  to be in Prek during Christmas Time.  We have been busy little elves these past two weeks. We’ve had a wonderful week of learning and holiday excitement in our classroom! Our classroom has been filled with Christmas cheer, as we sang songs and enjoyed all the magical moments of the holiday season.  Your little ones bring so much joy each day!!

This week and last week, we focused on the E and F.  The children practiced identifying each letter, making its sound, and thinking of words that begin with the letters E and F, such as elephant, eggs, Easter, feathers, food, and fish. Our color of the month is green, and we spotted green everywhere-shirts, toys, crayons, Christmas decorations, and even in our lunches!!!  And our shape of the month is TRIANGLE, which is perfect because we've been busy crafting for Christmas!  Triangle Christmas trees, sparkly decorations, and lots of gluey and glittery fingers filled our art time!! Our classroom looks beautiful and full of the holiday spirit!!

As we prepare for the Christmas season, we have been talking about the Nativity, sharing the story in a simple, sweet way that the children really enjoyed.  They had lots of thoughtful and adorable questions.  They are so curious and engaged.

And of course, we are getting ready for our Christmas show!!!  Your littles have been practicing with huge smiles. We can't wait for you to see how hard they’ve been working—one more week of practice.  We are so excited to share this with you!!
