Hello All and Happy First day of Spring!!

We had another fun-filled week in Pre-K3!! This week we celebrated Saint Patrick's Day. The children were very excited as we tried to catch our mischievous leprechaun, Sprinkles McMuffins-but he managed to escape again! He made a big mess in our classroom, but surprised us by leaving behind lots of gold coins for the children to find. It was so much fun and magical!!!

Our focus color this week was pink, and we went on a pink hunt around the room. We worked on the letter Q, practicing its sound and recognizing words that begin with Q. We discussed words like Queen, Quilt, Quail, and Question. We introduced springtime. We talked about all the things we see and hear in spring-flowers blooming, rain, rainbows, sunshine, and birds chirping.

In religion, we learned about David and how he sang his prayers to God. We talked about showing love and appreciation for all living things and the beautiful world God created, especially animals and nature.

We got outside today and are enjoying this beautiful sunny day!

Happy Friday!!!! We are getting excited that spring is almost here. We were able to spend some time outside this week, enjoying the warm weather and sunshine! The children were so happy to be outside, blowing bubbles, using sidewalk chalk, and playing with trucks. It was glorious!!

This week we focused on the letter P, the color pink, the shape diamond, and the number 5. The children enjoyed practicing recognizing these in our activities, songs, and classroom centers. To celebrate the letter P, we had a very special Pajama day! The children loved coming to school in their cozy pajamas. We also talked about our favorite stuffies and all our favorite pups.

We had a special surprise visit from Sprinkles McMuffins, our mischievous little visitor, who left gold coins for the children to discover. They were so excited searching for the shiny treasures around the room.

We continue to talk about Lent and all the kind things we can do for our family and friends. The children continue to learn and grow together in kindness and friendship each day.

In religion, we learned about David and how he cared for his sheep. We talked about how David was a good shepherd who protected and looked after his flock, and how we can show kindness and care for others, too.

Hi Everyone! Can't believe February is coming to an end!!! This week in Pre-K 3, we had so much fun learning and growing together!

Letter of the Week: N

We focused on the letter Nn and practiced identifying words that begin with the letter N, such as nice, nest, November, nine and newt. Our favorite was N is for Narwhal! The children enjoyed learning about this amazing ocean animal and creating their own Narwhal art.

Number of the Week: 4

We worked on recognizing, counting and writing the number 4. The class practiced counting in groups of four.

Color of the Week: Purple

We explored the color purple through art activities and went on a purple hun in our classroom.

Religion: God Made People

The children celebrated how unique and special each one of us is!

Healthy Habits:

We learned about healthy foods that help keep our teeth strong and foods that are not healthy for our teeth. The children shared what healthy snacks they had in their lunches.

We finally made it outside this week. Today was beautiful! The fresh air and sunshine made for a wonderful time of play and laughter.

Hello All, This week in Pre-K3, we are celebrating Valentine's Day and focusing on all things love and kindness! Our color of the month is purple, and we explored it through painting, sorting, classroom hunts, and even mixing red and blue to see how purple is made. Our shape is hearts, and children created heart art, went on a heart hunt, and practiced drawing hearts while learning that the heart is a symbol of love and friendship.

We are also learning about the number 4 by counting to 4, clapping 4 times, finding 4 objects in our classroom, and practicing number recognition. Our letter of the week is L. Children will practice writing the uppercase L and lowercase l on the smartboard. We talked about all the L words like love, lollipop, laugh, lipstick, and many more.

For Valentine's Day fun, we decorated our bags, had munchkins, and hot chocolate for a snack. We shared kind words with our friends and practiced showing love and kindness through our actions. We had fun handing out our Valentine's and looking at all the wonderful goodies our friends gave us❤️

Thankfully, we enjoyed outside time this week!!! The kids were running and having so much fun!!! Please make sure they have hats, gloves, and a heavy coat. If it's above freezing, we are going out!!!!

In Religion this week, we are learning that God loves each and every one of us. Valentine's Day reminds us that we are all special and loved by God. We talked about how we can show God's love by being kind to our friends, sharing, helping others, and using kind words.

We are looking forward to another week filled with learning, friendship, and lots of love!
