Friday, May 15th

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a wonderful week.  We spent a lot of time this week playing outside and enjoying the fresh air.

I can't believe it- but we are coming to the end of our Alphabet Adventure!  We are so excited to be almost done learning about all the letters in the alphabet.  So this week, we learned about the letter Xx.  We discussed x words like x-ray, xylophone, found x in words like six, fox, box, T. rex, and ox. We sang our X song with Jack Hartman-the kids love this one!  We also reviewed our shapes and colors by working on our shape packet.  We love Blippi's shape song and Jack Hartman's What Color is song.

We spent time continuing our discussions about Mary and practicing the Hail Mary.  Please practice at home as well. 

On Ascension Thursday, we attended mass together and learned about the importance of this Holy Day.  We also had a small discussion and completed a little craft.  

We had our First Annual Walk-a-Thon, and it was a success!!!  They had so much fun walking with their prayer partners around the school.  The children did an amazing job participating and were so proud to receive their medals and a popsicle afterward.  Thank you for your support!!!

The children are continuing to make great progress each day.  It has been lovely to see their enthusiasm and love for learning.  One of the nicest things to watch has been the friendships growing within the group.  They are working together, encouraging one another, and including everyone during activities and playtime.  The kindness and teamwork are helping to create a happy classroom!!!!
