About the Teacher

Hello! I can't wait to start my fourth year at St. Mary Magdalen School! First grade is so much fun!  This will be my 5th year teaching first grade!

Having grown up in Springfield, I attended St. Kevin School and Cardinal O’Hara High School. Following high school, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education with Certifications in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Cabrini College (now University and closed 🥲). I continued to Widener University to obtain my Masters in Education with English Certification. After staying home with my children for many years, I returned to teaching and attended St. Joseph’s University to obtain my Special Education Certification.

My teaching experience includes PreK through 8th grade. I have taught in Catholic Schools and Public Schools, but my heart is in teaching in Catholic Schools. Teaching in a Catholic School is a blessing. I enjoy helping children to learn and grow academically and spiritually in a Catholic environment.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I love visiting the Outer Banks (OBX), Jersey shore, and the Poconos. Also, I enjoy reading, visiting historical sites, and watching my favorite teams: the Eagles and the Phillies! We have a dog and a cat, but my favorite animal is the turtle!

My family and I live in West Chester where we have raised 5 children. This past year was very exciting for my family as we welcomed our first grandchild in April. She is a blessing to our growing family.

I am looking forward to having a fantastic year in first grade! See you in September!
