Weekly Assignments:
Homework packet- a packet will be sent home at the beginning of the week and be required to turn in by Friday. All homework packets are meant to be a mix of spiral review as well as review newly learned concepts. Homework packets are taken for a completion grade.
iReady MyPath- class time will be given to students to complete MyPath weekly. All students must complete 2 lessons a week (lessons are supposed to take 15 mins) for a completion grade.
*All homework assignments/missed work can be found on our google classroom page*
Quizzes/Tests:
Quizzes are given at the end of each lesson in our curriculum. Majority of quizzes contain 5 questions to review content taught that week. At times, multiple lessons may be combined into a longer "test" rather than a short quiz.
Review pages may be sent home a night or two in advance as a chance to have extra practice to prepare for any quizzes. Review pages are not always collected as a grade but can be at times.
Grading:
Grades are input into FACTS on a bi-weekly basis. If there are any ever concerns about your childs grades before something is input, please feel free to reach out.
My grading is as follows-

Classwork:
At the end of each lesson, students will be asked to complete the brain check in our workbook that will be turned in for an accuracy grade. All answers/information is based on what was covered in the lesson and can be found in the reading.
Tests/Study Guides:
Tests are given at the end of each unit.
Study guides are given in advance of the test. Some sections of the study guide are filled out in class together, others are assigned as homework or classwork to complete on their own.
Projects:
Larger projects are completed at least once per unit. Projects can be assigned individually, in pairs or in small groups
Projects are worth more points than classwork, similar to a test.
