Second Grade Curriculum

The Second Grade curriculum focuses on building knowledge and skills in the areas of math, reading, writing, grammar, spelling, phonics, handwriting, religion, social studies, and science. 

As a teacher of young children with unique minds, I understand that all children have the ability and capacity to learn, but not all children learn at the same pace or in the same way. Therefore, I have worked with the curriculum to build structured lessons that incorporate many different styles of learning and that meet each student's individual needs. These lessons incorporate activities for all levels of development.

As a part of my curriculum, students will be exposed to whole group instruction, small group instruction, partner learning, one on one instruction, and hands on activities.
