Hello, my name is Kim Scanlan, and I am in my fifth year of teaching at Saint Mary’s Visitation.
I have an undergraduate degree from Bradley University in Public Relations/Advertising and a Master’s Degree in teaching from Aurora University. Teaching is a second career for me, and this is my eleventh year as a teacher.
Prior to teaching at SMV, I taught middle school English for five years at St. Bruno Parish school in Dousman, WI. In addition, I taught first grade at Prairie Elementary in Waukesha.
Outside of the classroom, I love to golf, hike, be outdoors, and spend time with my family. I am grateful to be a part of the SMV school community.
I feel blessed to help students grow both academically and spiritually at this wonderful school. I have a strong commitment to Catholic education and strive to create a nurturing environment grounded in faith, respect, and a love of learning. I believe in encouraging curiosity, building confidence, and helping each child recognize their God-given potential.
My name is Beth Scherr, and I teach 5th grade at SMV. This is my 8th year of teaching at St. Mary’s Visitation School. I went to both undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I began my teaching career in 2001 at Mary Queen of Heaven School in West Allis. I am married with two daughters, and feel Blessed to work at SMV. It is a wonderful community of teachers, staff, students, and families.
