I am thrilled to begin my third year as a first-grade teacher and my 14th year at SMV. Prior, I was a junior high English/Language Arts Teacher and Learning Support Specialist. Before that, I taught first grade in Hartland for ten years, as well as fourth grade. I graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Elementary Education and from Cardinal Stritch University with a Master's in Learning Disabilities. I also have a reading certificate in Wilson Training for intervention for dyslexia. While not at school, I love to do anything sporty or outdoors, and hang out with my husband, Everette, and my three children: Julia, Amelia, and Evan, as well as my sweet pup, Georgie. I'm so blessed to love my vocation and teach at SMV.
My name is Sara Sinense and I am one of the first grade teachers. This will be my 13th year teaching at SMV. I have a degree from U.W. La Crosse and Mount Mary University. I have a WI 316 Reading Teacher License and an Orton Gillingham Reading certification. I am very passionate about teaching and working with students to grow in their academics, as well as their faith life. I am married to David and we have four children, David jr., Ben, Lauren, and C.J. Outside of school, I love to walk my two dogs, Bode and Fritz, go for runs, waterski, downhill ski, bake, garden, and go up north. I am so excited to see what this school year will bring!
