The following is the discipline policy for abusing technology devices and privileges at St. Mary School..
If a student uses a device in a way that is inappropriate, disruptive, and or dangerous, they will lose the privilege of having the device for two weeks of school. This also includes but is not limited to being on a Meet without a teacher, presenting without the teacher's permission, or repeatedly taking themselves off mute and disrupting class during a Meet. During this time the parents must come to the school to retrieve any materials that the teacher deems necessary for the student to complete their school work.
A second offense will result in loss of the device for the remainder of the semester not to be any less than four full school weeks which must equal at least 20 school days.
The third offense will result in loss of device for the remainder of the school year.
If a remote student is reprimanded for abuse of the device, they are not welcome back as an in-person learner during their punishment period.
