Miss K. Harrigan 2nd Grade Requirements

in all for Grades 2-1 & 2-2

WELCOME:

A new school year has begun and to make sure it runs smoothly, I have listed some guidelines for you.

CLASSWORK:

You will have ample time to complete assignments in school. However, if there is an assignment that was not completed during the day, it SHOULD BE completed that night AND shown to me the next day.

HOMEWORK:

Please be sure to SIGN all assignments. It is your responsibility to complete daily homework assignments and to have them in school the next morning. Assignments will be corrected together during class, and at that time, the assignments will be checked for completion. If you, on occasion, honestly forgets to do the assignment or leaves it home, it will be documented, and it MUST be shown the following day. The incomplete/ late assignment will be recorded in my grade book.

QUIZZES/TESTS:

Quizzes will be given periodically with prior notice. I will also occasionally collect homework and/or classwork assignments and will grade them as a quiz.

Tests in subject areas are given when a chapter, unit, or other specified amount of work has been completed. A week’s notice is usually given for tests. Your child will bring home tests that must be signed with your signature. (NO initials, please!) I would like the tests to be CORRECTED and SIGNED by the assigned day. **Corrections are to be written out in FULL COMPLETE sentences. Once the tests are returned, I will check to see if corrections were made and that it was signed. If we work together as a team we will be successful.
