Candy Counting & Graphing

For this project I counted the M&M's and then I made a chart that added all them together so I could see how many there were. I made 2 different charts that showed the averages of the M&M's and the class average of the M&M's. The 2 different charts were a pie chart and a bar graph. My estimate was 56 and I had 6 red,7 yellow,13 orange,10 green,6 brown,and 15 blue. I think that the M&M's that I counted were manufactured in Cleveland, TN because the amounts from them are similar to the ones I counted. The most difficult part of the project was doing the mean, median, and mode. I think there is most likely 56 M&M's in a 1.69 bag and I think that blue would be the most color and brown being the least color. I liked this project because it was fun to make the graphs and see where the M&M's were manufactured. My favorite kind of M&M are the original M&M's because I have never tried any other kind of M&M.
