I made my self-portrait with Tux Paint. My tip is to use the line tool a lot. I really really love to do art and you can do as much art as you want in Tux Paint and I just really really like to draw my face. It is so much fun to draw yourself in Tux Paint. Tux Paint is a good program.
I did the Marshmallow Challenge. My team was Angel, Ava, Isabella, and me. Ava was the photographer. I was the builder with Isabella and and Angel. I was also the person cutting the tape and the string. We had 1 yard of string, 1 yard of tape, and 20 noodles. I came up with the main idea and everybody agreed we should build it. We put a lot of sticks at the bottom and a few sticks on the top. When It started to fall Isabella thought of the idea of making it pretty by putting string on the outside. It worked. Our tower was 18 and a quarter tall inches. We would have lost if Isabella did not come up with the idea of putting string around it. We only had 18 minutes to build it. We won and I was very, very happy. We did it in the computer class because we needed to work together. We also learned how to have friendship and work together. The second time we did the Marshmallow Challenge, my team was Bishop, Julisa, Angel, and me. We did not win the second time which was fine by me. Our tower fell over because someone was breaking all of the noddles. We did not have enough tall noddles to finish. I wonder how you would do if you ever wanted to try to do the Marshmallow Challenge.
I learned how to use Scratch. The projects I did were move forever, move to a beat, key moves, follow the mouse, glide, moving animations, spin, change color, dance twist, animate, and grow and shrink. My favorite was change color because it looks like a rainbow. They were all fun because I like to program. You can see them here.
I did a new project named Name Animation. We made our names and mine was an A, L, L, E, N and made every letter do different stuff. I made two of them turn different ways. I made one grow and shrink. I made one change color and last I made one swirl. My favorite one was the L and the E because each of them were spinning different ways. I liked it a lot because I got to make my name do different stuff. Click on the picture to see my name animation.
On Scratch I did a butterfly life cycle. We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. We had to write what the part of that part would do. Now if you go to Scratch and look at it you can learn about the butterfly life cycle. My favorite part was doing the caterpillar because I like to make him grow and shrink. It was fun because my favorite programming place is Scratch. If you click the picture you'll go there.
