I used Tux Paint to draw my self-portrait. I used the oval tool to draw my head. For my ears I used two horizontal circles. I used white, brown, and black circles for my eyes on top of each other. I liked it because you can use so many shapes and colors.
My group for the Marshmallow Challenge was Angel, Ava, and Allen and me. We had to build up spaghetti the highest and put the marshmallow on top without it falling over. We had a yard of string and tape and 20 pieces of dry spaghetti and a marshmallow. We decided to do 10 pieces of dry spaghetti on the bottom with tape to hold it up, then more dry spaghetti to put on top with tape. Then we put the marshmallow on top and decorated it with string. It wasn't really hard but at the start no one really agreed but after that we all worked very well together. We had 18 minutes to complete the challenge. Ours was 18.25 inches tall. I made it look very pretty. We had the tallest tower and we won the challenge. I think why we had to do this is so we could learn to get along. You could learn how to build towers very high and you could learn how to get along too, like we did. After that we did another Spaghetti and Marshmallow Challenge with different groups. I chose the tower we built. I was trying to make it look like the Eiffel Tower. We had the same things to build up the tower.
In this assignment I had to write Scratch programs to program sprites. Here are the projects I did: Move Forever, Move to a Beat, Glide, Moving Animation, Spin, Follow the Mouse, Change Color, Dance Twist, Key Moves, Animate It, and Grow & Shrink. I liked doing these projects because I had to program them myself. My favorite project is my Change Color project because it could change to any color. You can see my Learning Scratch Projects.
I had to use sprites to spell my name then I had to make them do something. I enjoyed this project because it had my own name in it and I could make it my style. My favorite part was when I could put any background. You can see my Name Animation project when you click the picture down below.
I did a Butterfly Life Cycle in Scratch. I had to draw my own sections of the cycle then I had to type in some information about that stage. I liked this project because I liked to draw my own sprites. You can see my Butterfly Life Cycle when you click the picture down below.
