For this assignment we were given a bag of 1.69 ounce M&M's, told to sort them by color, and count them. I thought the average amount of M&M's in a 1.69 ounce bag is 56 because there was 7 red, 12 yellow, 10 orange, 12 green, 6 brown, and 7 blue M&Ms. Then, we had to graph them by using Google Sheets. We did a sheet that told how many of each color the class had, the mean, median, mode, and percentage of the M&M's. We made two column charts. One of them calculated my M&M count and the other calculated the class's average. Then we made two pie charts one calculating my percentage and the other calculating the class's percentage. I made an estimate of how many of each color M&M's were in the bag. My estimate was not even close to the amount in the bag. My estimates were 9 red, 5 orange, 7 yellow, 5 green, 9 brown, and 5 blue M&M's. I think that the M&M's that were provided were manufactured in Cleveland TN. Because their proportions of M&M's color are the most accurate to what we were given. they were Most difficult part of this assignment was the making the pie chart. I overcame this by asking for help. I have no favorite M&M flavor but i do enjoy the caramel M&M's. I didn't like this assignment because I thought it was a waste of time and I think no one is going to look at my site in the future.
