In the introduction to micro:bit we did a hello world and emotions program. In hello world if you run it it says Randy. If you press A it says Randy. In emotions if you press A it does a happy face. If you press B it does a sad face. If you press A and B it has a happy-sad animation.
Using the light sensor I graphed the light level and if it is under 25 it notifies you. To notify you it makes a sound if you hack headphones, a speaker, or ear buds.
Josh and I created a game called Headbandz. Josh chose it because he thought it would be fun. It was extremely enjoyable. Josh did the actual headband and I created a wristband controller. It has the score and can perform the actions pass and correct. The most difficult part was checking the radio signals. I would check for two of the same charade in a row. We did not use any tutorial and the controller uses radio signals to communicate with the other micro:bit. Conner recorded and edited our video!
I enjoyed it because it was creative and modern. I learned that computers are getting very powerful.
