Shamrocks Return to School!

welcome back, Shamrocks!

We are very excited for our students to return to school! Our administrative leadership team and our teachers have worked, and will continue to work, diligently to plan for a safe, successful reentry this fall. Our plans have been established with guidance from the Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Catholic Schools, our local health department, the state of Kentucky, and the CDC.

Please utilize this site as the "go to" for info on the systems and structures we are putting in place to keep our students and teachers/staff safe. With everything going on, there could potentially be daily changes. If there is a change that everyone needs to be made aware of right away, a Remind message will be sent. It is important that all parents be signed up for Remind.

All information for our preschool may be found on the "Preschool Info" tab. The preschool must follow not only St Martha's guidelines, but state guidelines as well.

All information for afterschool care may be found on the "Afterschool Care Info" tab. ASC must follow not only St Martha's guidelines, but state guidelines as well.

Here are a few "need to knows" for K-8...

  • Our first day of school (as of 7/29) will be Tuesday, 8/25, as stated on our 2020-2021 school calendar.

  • Any changes in the schedule will be announced should it be required by the state or determined that it is in the best interest of St Martha students, teachers, and staff. Changes could possibly include an alternative schedule. Examples of an alternate schedule could include a hybrid of in-class and online learning or distance learning.

  • Our Welcome Back Event (Preschool - 8th grade) will look different this year and requires families who wish to drop off supplies and see the classroom before the first day to make an appointment to do so.

  • The school day will run from 7:50am to 2:40pm.

  • All students in grades K-8 are to wear a mask to school each day. More info on this is found under the "Safety Info for During the School Day" tab.

  • All families in grades K-8 must sign up for a time to drop off their students. SignUpGenius is being utilized for this. More info on how to select your drop off window is available under the "Instructions for Arriving at School".

  • Parents should make sure they are signed up for the school's Remind system. This app is utilized to share all types of information from the office. Teacher Remind groups will be established at the start of the year. (Instructions for joining Remind)

  • Each student must have an electronic Parental Assurance for Daily Health Assessment for School Year 2020-2021 on file. This is a St Martha requirement. This must be completed before the first day of school.

  • Our Online Learning Landing Page is in the works to help parents and students stay connected with ease! It will be updated further as we move into the year.
