Reading Log & Response

• Students will read for at least 20 minutes daily, or weekly total of 80 minutes. 

• For a homework grade, students will complete 2 reading responses from the choice board in the google classroom. These responses are based on the book(s) they are currently reading at home. 

• Reading Log & Response are due each Friday morning before 7:50 am.

English

• Verbs (4.1-4.6)

• Identifying verbs and verb phrases, principle parts of regular and irregular verbs (present, present participle, past, and past participle)

• Test: January 23rd

Reading

• Current novel study: The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin

• Vocabulary Workshop: Unit 5

• Areas of focus: responding to literature, making inferences, using text evidence as appropriate, analyzing the author's use of print and graphic features to achieve specific purposes.
