Please complete and return all homework to school by Friday.

The students will use the three finger grip with the triangular pencil and the triangular crayon.

Take Home Readers
Please follow the suggestions below with the take home readers until the child becomes more proficient in reading:
1. Parent reads book to child.
2. Child reads book to parent.
3. Parent picks out a variety of words from the book for the child to read independently and identify all letters in the words.
4. Parent chooses at least three words from the book for the child to produce rhyming words.
5. Parent helps child identify punctuation and the reasons for punctuation.
6. Discuss the characters, sequence of events, and the plot of the story together in order to explore your child’s comprehension.
Please remember to completely fill out the reading log including the parent initials section and a short note in the comments section to share with me how your child is doing. Please return your child’s books, reading log, and book bag in their daily folder by Wednesday of each week, so we can send new books home. New books will only be issued on Fridays and only if the previous books have been returned.
