This is my first year at St. Martha's and my first year teaching first grade. This is my 21st year teaching. I have worked predominantly in Special Education and in General Education as a Kindergarten teacher. I haveworked in Cy-Fair, Katy, and Humble ISDs. I have certifications in General Education- Early Childhood-4th Grade, Special Education-EC-12, and ESL. I earned the designation of Exemplary Teacher in 2023 as part of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
I earned my Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders with a Minor in Psychology from The University of Houston in 2001. I earned my Teaching Certification through the Region IV Education Center Alternative Certification Program.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 23 years. God has blessed us with 3 amazing children. The above picture was taken in Ennis just before the Total Solar Eclipse in Spring 2024. I am Texas born and raised. I graduated from New Caney High School. My favorite hobby is shopping for vintage vinyl. I love all genres of music, but most recently am into Indie Folk Music. Three words that describe me are compassionate, sentimental, and sincere.
