4th Grade Chooses Kindness Every Day!

Welcome to fourth grade! This year we are learning, growing, serving, and sharing God's love. Together we'll discover new ideas, celebrate our successes, and Be the Good News for everyone we meet.

Breaking News: 

🔢 Math - Place Value to the Millions. We will work with standard form, word form, and expanded form, as well as comparing & ordering numbers. Test: 9/11

📚Reading - Please wrap up your summer reading assignment and be prepared to turn it in. Bring in your copy of " The One and Only Ivan" we will be using it the first few weeks of school!

✝️Religion - The Goodness of God. We are learning about how God's goodness is revealed to us through His love, creation, and care for each of us. Test: 9/10

🔬Science - Fantastic Fossils will be our first unit in science, the students will learn through fun hands-on projects, songs, and even disecting an owl pellet!

🌎Social Studies - Five Themes of Geography. Students will focus on Place. Students will design & create a U.S. Postal Stamp representing a state of their choice and present it to the class.

📓Writing - 4 types of sentences is up first, using the formal words for these 4 types!
