Confirmation & Registration Form
The following information will help you to complete the required form for the Semester One SM Saturday program.
Read and reference this course guide, as it provides a clear understanding of what will be experienced and what is expected of you.
DO NOT skip reading the course descriptions when registering. You are expected to make informed decisions about your educational path.
Some students are placed in mandatory school programming in the semester one or semester two; and do not select elective classes.
If you do not register by midnight, or at all, you will likely be placed in a course. It is not always possible to change courses once you are enrolled.
Everyone must complete the Google Form. ➡️ found at this link here. ⬅️
If you have any questions or concerns about your course selection or the registration process, please contact the Director of Experiential Learning and/or your advisor before the registration deadline.

⚠️ Everyone must complete the form ⚠️
I'm in the V Form, why do I have to complete the form?
Some students, like V Form students in semester two, have mandatory programs and/or consider themselves "pre-registered". While these students do not need registration, everyone is required to complete the confirmation portion of the Google Form. Thank you for take the time and care to do so.
When and how do I register?
The registration period runs the period as described in information above. While experiential placements are not first come first serve, not everyone will get their first choice of courses. Please keep a growth mindset during this process and lean into learning even through disappointment. Every attempt to enroll students in their preferred courses is made. Once the registration period has ended, and students have been placed in courses, it can be challenging to change courses as they are full.
Everyone needs to complete the confirmation portion of the Confirmation & Registration Form.
The registration period runs until midnight. Priority is given to students who register on time.
Students automatically receive copies of their responses.
Can I change my course placement later?
Changing courses once placements have been made will only be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as injury or a family emergency. Please connect with the Director of Experiential Learning for inquiries.
Here are some useful tips:
Not every course leaves and returns to campus at the same time every day; make special note of mention of field trips, physical demands and instructor expectations
Read course descriptions carefully, including the major assignments; make informed choices.
Reschedule appointments or commitments in order to be present
Note that students who have registered online prior to the due date and time will be given priority.
What do I need to know?
Participation and attendance is mandatory for each day of Saturday Courses.
Missing class for more than 20 minutes on any given Saturday class automatically triggers an absence.
Two tardies from a Saturday class count as an absence.
Missing more than two SM Saturday classes will result in a low pass or fail in the course.
If you am sick or unable to come to school during a Saturday course, you are responsible for work that you have missed.
It is your responsibility to reach out to teachers and coordinate any work you will or have missed for any reason.
You earn a grade through experiential programming, the grade is included on transcripts and passing is important in college admissions.
Enrollment in courses is based on multiple factors - form, gender balance, previous experience, leadership roles, faculty endorsement, etc.
You MAY be placed in ANY of the choices you select on through the registration process.
You MAY NOT get your first, second or third choice course.
When registering, you need to provide five DIFFERENT course choices, or my enrollment will be invalid and may be adjusted without consultation.
Once enrolled in a course, changes are not possible without a written explanation of extenuating circumstances and endorsement from school professionals such as nurses, athletic staff, and teachers.
