We must do four things as quickly as possible:
Fully convert to renewable power sources
Transform how we produce and distribute our food
Restore community as a fundamental part of being human
ERASE WAR FROM THE HUMAN MIND
Sections 1 and 2 of this program offer a lifetime of suggestions about things you can do. For many more, explore:
To bring about cultural change we need to reach 25 percent or more of the general public. We must develop a communication network that grows on its own.
The Mycelium Learning Network mimics nature's intelligence in it own mycelial internet, which inspires us also. We hope to use the social media network and build our own network that can spread on its own "islands of coherence."
Gemini's interpretation of Prigogine's concept of islands of coherence in a sea of chaos.
Otto Scharmer and Katrin Kaufer in their 2025 book Presencing: 7 Practices for Transforming Self, Society, and Business, emphasize the importance of life long, life wide, life deep learning as the heart of transformation.
What is the smallest unit of an island of coherence? It’s you, it’s me, it’s each of us: it’s in our quality of attention, it’s in our quality of relationships. Islands of coherence redirect our attention back to our own agency, to what we can do. They help us to realign our attention, intention, and agency within the small microcosms of the systems we operate in.
Education and learning are central to any transformational path toward sustainable development and a future that is more regenerative, just, and aware. In the face of artificial intelligence (AI) and societal disruptions, it’s increasingly obvious that education needs to shift its emphasis from conveying existing knowledge to enabling the next generation to connect to their sources of creativity and potential to co-shape and co-create the future as it emerges.
Given that this section is imaginary, let's let our imaginations fly. The video below emphasizes that separation is not real, even at global or cosmic levels. The scientific method would tell us not to say this is impossible even though we can't imagine how it might work.
Or we can be amused at the way our imaginary friend in the video below struggles to pronounce Teilhard.
The noosphere concept is better known than the Akashic Field, probably due to its association with Pierre Teilhard Chardin and its interpretation by Dr. Brian Thomas Swimme at Human Energy, part of the California Institute of Integral Studies. Watch the Story of the Noosphere on YouTube. We will use the noosphere concept.
Because the transformation that is needed is comprehensive, a wide range of learning processes must be used.
One important reason to use the Google ecosystem is that it was designed for collaboration. Someone in Ghana can initiate a project and people from anywhere in the world can participate, either synchronously or asynchronously. Then people all over the world can use the finished product. This means that educational programs and media can proliferate quickly. And it also provides an opportunity for islands of coherence to work together, thus forming larger islands of coherence.
We will develop examples, templates, and guidelines for using Google's Gemini AI, NotebookLM, Vids, Nano Banana, and other relevant apps in the Google ecosystem.
There are many organizations across the globe that can help with our transformation to a sustainable world. Five that we frequently refer to for ideas, methods, and inspiration are:
Human Flourishing Program at Harvard
Yale Forum and Religion and Ecology
The video below describes how we can use those organizations.
The Social Media Plan and Example Curriculum are starting places to develop the infrastructure to help expose people to the experiences like those in The End of the World, the Earth Charter, and the more imaginative ideas on this page and in Start a Movement.
