About PSIA

PSIA is an interscholastic association that gives students the opportunity to engage in a "sport of the mind." With 20 contest categories coveirng a wide rance of disciplines, PSIA is an exciting opportunity for SML students to engage in academic competition with their peers around Houston and throughout the state of Texas. 

Mission

The mission of the St. Mark PSIA is to foster team spirit, community, accademic growth. 

Practice

Most teams meet once a week for practice. Coaches contact families to coordinate practice days and time. 

District Competition

The district competition will be held on March 2, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Depending on the contest, three students per grade level or three students per combined grade will be permitted to compete in the district competition.

State Competition

The state competition is held on April 13, 2024, at the University of Houston in Houston, TX. Only students who qualify at the district competition will advance to the state competition.
