We started off with an unnamed robot. It was a simple robot, mostly following instructions from an outdated instruction manual. Like a really outdated one. Then we went to a workshop (run by the Biscuits, a team from Hua Xia Chinese School). We started out by learning about the basics of building a Vex IQ robot, such as gear ratio and important characteristics of a good drive base. After that, we got time to work on our robot. The very first thing we did was completely destroy our old robot. Then, with help from the Biscuits, we laid the foundations for Speedy. We then arranged to meet later that week and work more on Speedy. Speedy was ready to roll. Then, he broke. We had to completely rearrange the passive claw mechanism. Now, Speedy has completed his first tournament. We are very excited for the next one!
