Mrs. Sorgi Teacher Bio:
Mrs. Sorgi is a proud alumna of St. Lawrence School and is currently in her eleventh year of teaching here. She teaches fifth grade. Mrs. Sorgi attended Northwood University on an athletic and academic scholarship where she received her Bachelors in Banking & Finance and Management. Shortly after she graduated, she spent two years as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher for St. Lawrence and Utica Community Schools. During those two years, Mrs. Sorgi knew she wanted to become a teacher, so she headed to Oakland University where she received her Masters of Arts in Teaching Elementary. Mrs. Sorgi has coached softball, basketball, and soccer for St. Lawrence School.
Mrs. Sorgi has been married for ten years and has three children: Mila (7), Christian (5), and Massimo (2). She also has two dogs, Oliver and Penny. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing soccer or golf, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Gould's Teacher Bio:
This is Ms. Gould's 12th year at St. Lawrence and 15th year teaching. She has taught 5th, 6th, and 7th grade, but absolutely loves teaching 5th graders! Ms. Gould attended Central Michigan University. Fire Up Chips! Several years later, she went on to complete her Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College. Ms. Gould has two daughters, Grace (7) and Brooke (4). Both of her girls attend STL! Ms. Gould has a lot of hobbies including cooking, reading, paddleboarding/kayaking, playing games and cards, and traveling.
Mrs. Girodat's Teacher Bio:
This is Mrs. Girodat's 13th year teaching at St. Lawrence and 19th year teaching. She has taught preschool, Young 5's, 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th grade. She attended Catholic school K-12 and then graduated from Saginaw Valley with her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Mrs. Girodat has been married for 11 years and has 3 children who all attend St. Lawrence (Kaitlyn - 9, Olive - 8, and Steven - 6). In her free time she enjoys traveling, watching her children play soccer, crafting, reading, gardening, and being outside in the sunshine.
Mrs. Scheper's Teacher Bio:
Mrs. Scheper graduated from MSU with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She then went back to school to complete her teaching degree in order to do what she truly loved. She taught in the Warren Consolidated District for four years, until she had her three children. She then took time off to be a stay-at-home mom for several years. This is Mrs. Scheper's fifth year teaching at STL; however, before that, she was a substitute teacher and ESL teacher at St. Lawrence for 10 years. Mrs. Scheper's children may have graduated from STL, but she has 18 great nieces and nephews here! Mrs. Scheper is very excited to be teaching 5th grade! Her hobbies include spending time up north, swimming, paddle boarding, boating, skiing, and cooking.
