Meet the Teachers

Hi Everyone!  My name is Mrs. Lisa Marcopoli.  I’m so glad to be back with my little cutie-pies for the 2025-2026 school year.

I graduated from the University of Dayton, a Catholic university in Dayton, Ohio.  I have been in the STL Nursery School and Preschool Program since 2007 (I'm in my 19th school year here!) and I have been working in Catholic education for over 35 years!  I'm thrilled to be with our youngest learners again!

My husband Vince and I were so fortunate to be able to send our three children to STL since Nursery School and Preschool, just like you!  Now they are adults:  Nicholas lives with his wife Cassidy in Honolulu, Hawaii; Maria lives and has a career in Washington, D.C.; and Anthony and his wife Jenna live in Clawson!  

I enjoy traveling to visit my older children in Hawaii and DC and my extended family in the Cleveland, Ohio area.  I also love to watch and attend sporting events, attend professional and high school theatre performances, and read!

My name is Martha Pickett, but the Nursery School students call me "Ms. Martha".  I have been a parishioner here at St. Lawrence for over 30 years and have been involved in our Music Ministry and CRE programs for many of those years.  I have my Bachelor's Degree and have taught 16 years in the CRE Program; 12 of those were with the special needs students.  This is my second year working in the MWF AM and PM Nursery School program and I am enjoying it tremendously!

I have three boys and four grandchildren, and I love to visit and spend time with them, but unfortunately none live here in Michigan.  So I am always looking forward to the next time I can see them!
