Atrium Table Policy for Coeur de Catherine (CdC) Student Center
There are six atrium tables in the Coeur de Catherine (CdC). The tables are located in the 1st and 2nd floor Atriums and the 2nd floor corridor of the CdC.
Four of the six tables are available for St. Kate’s chartered student organizations and University departments to use for the purpose of solicitation. “Solicitation” in this statement means the seeking of funds or other support, such as signatures, food, or supplies by a chartered student organization from persons outside its membership or by individual students. Solicitation includes activities such as the sale of goods or services; the distribution of literature, materials or products; or the promotion of rallies, parades, runs, or special events.
Student organizations and University departments can table up to three times a week but cannot have more than one table a day. Exceptions may be made for departmental events (e.g., career or art fair where multiple tables are needed).
Two of the six tables are available for external organizations to use for the purpose of solicitation. The charge is $50 per table. “Solicitation” in this statement means the selling of goods or services, information distribution about a company and/or product.
Outside vendors must fit within the mission of a Catholic Women’s Liberal Arts institution.
Political campaign groups will not be charged the $50 fee.
Vendors soliciting for credit cards will not be allowed to reserve a table.
The University reserves the right to deny a solicitation table to any external organization.
If the two outside vendor tables are not reserved, a chartered student organization or university department can reserve one of the tables a week in advance.
If a St. Kate’s departments, club and organization members, and outside vendors is sponsoring an outside organization, this should be clearly posted at the table.
Departments, club and organization members, and outside vendors must remain seated behind or standing to the side of the atrium table.
Materials must not include lewd, discriminatory, violent, hateful, or disturbing images as we aim to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all people.
All materials and signage should be kept on the table or immediately adjacent to the table. If signage is going to be taped to the tabling space walls, pillars, railings, or tables, blue tape must be the only adhesive used. Tables, groups, and/or distribution of materials must not obstruct the normal traffic flow.
At the end of the reservation, the area should be left clean and all items returned to their original location.
The Campus Life department or Information Center will not store any materials related to atrium tables. Any materials left after the reservation will be discarded.
All atrium tables must remain in designated areas. The use of extra tables must be pre-approved on a case-by-case basis. The Campus Life department reserves the right to rearrange atrium table reservations when there is a conflict with other events within the CdC.
The Campus Life department reserves the right to cancel existing reservations and deny approval of future requests to groups not following these guidelines.
